Honoring Israel’s 60th anniversary

In honor of Israel’s 60th anniversary, the Hillcrest Jewish Center will hold a special concert called “Israel @ 60 - Concert Celebration” at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 1.
Cantor Moti Fuchs, of the Hillcrest Jewish Center, will lead the concert. He has performed in Romania, Israel, and New York. Joining Fuchs will be cantor, folk-singer and stage actor Cantor Gadi Elon. Both cantors were part of a delegation that performed for Pope John Paul II.
Rounding out the performance will be Israeli singer Magda Fishman. She is an international award-winning vocalist and also plays the trumpet. Fishman as appeared on stage and on television.
All three performers have served in the Israeli army.
Tickets for “Israel @ 60 - Concert Celebration” range in price from $25 to $60. VIP tickets are available for $100 and include a pre-show dinner.
