Firefighters battled a one-alarm blaze in the steeple of a historic church in College Point late Friday evening, June 6. The fire in the First Reform Church at 118-17 14th Avenue caused heavy damage to the steeple and water damage to the interior of the church. Fire Marshals were on the scene investigating before the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
