New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ) has added five doctors to its Heart and Vascular Center, enabling it to continue to meet the growing need for such services in the borough.
The new members of the center are Dr. Chong H. Park, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Acting Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program; Dr. George J. Juang, Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory; Dr. Vivien Lim, Attending Physician, Non-Invasive Cardiology; Dr. Charu N. Sharma, Attending Physician, Non-Invasive Cardiology; and Dr. Andrew M. Grunwald, Attending Physician, Interventional Cardiology.
Collectively, the five physicians represent about 100 years of experience. Park, a graduate of New York Medical College, was previously an attending cardiologist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He is certified in internal medical, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
With a medical degree from the University of Chicago, Juang’s certifications are for internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He was formerly the Director of Electrophysiology at Stony Brook Medical Center.
Lim is certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology and has a medical degree from the University of Connecticut. Before coming to New York Hospital Queens, she was in private practice, working in Queens and on Long Island.
Sharma received her medical degree from the Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in India. She is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and was previously employed at the Metropolitan Hospital Center.
Grunwald is also certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. A graduate of New York Medical College, he has been a faculty member of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
