Ozone Park Civic hosts candidates’ night

“Ozone Park needs a councilmember who understands the community’s issues and effectively addresses quality of life concerns,” said Eric Ulrich, a candidate in the February 24 Special Election to fill Senator Joseph Addabbo’s seat.
Ulrich, along with Mike Ricatto and Frank Gulluscio, spoke at the most recent meeting of the Ozone Park Civic Association.
The candidates touched on issues such as graffiti, transportation, infrastructure, and the controversy over the Cross Bay Bridge toll.
“If you live in Rockaway and Broad Channel, you have to pay to go to church, to go shopping,” said Gulluscio of the toll.
Concerns brought up by attendees included roads, potholes, and the candidates’ continued involvement in the area.
The Special Election will be held on Tuesday, February 24.
