Police work leads to arrests

On Tuesday, January 27 at about 1:30 p.m., officers executed a legal car stop at Atlantic Avenue and 108th Street.
In the vehicle the officers observed a loaded 9 MM handgun. They immediately apprehended one of the three males in the car; the other two fled on foot.
After a brief chase, officers apprehended a second suspect, at which time they set up a perimeter to nab the third perp, but were unable to.
“We know who he is and I’m very confident he’ll be apprehended shortly,” said Captain Charles McEvoy.
