A concert of traditional Irish music will be performed by fiddler Bernadette Fee and vocalist Mary Courtney at the Maspeth Library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. It will include reels, jigs and slow airs. The Maspeth Library is located at 69-70 Grand Avenue and can be reached at 718-639-5228.

There will be a Taiwanese Glove Puppetry performance by Chinese Theatre Works at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the Ozone Park Library. It will include stories from the Chinese and Taiwanese cultures. There will also be a demonstration and workshop on glove puppetry techniques. At 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, there will be a tribute to Sam Cooke, The Drifters and Ray Charles at the Forest Hills Library. The performance will feature Richard Lanham. The Forest Hills Library is located at 108-19 71st Avenue and can be reached at 718-268-7934.

Naomi Zeitlin will perform the show “Divas of Our Time” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 at the Briarwood Library. The concert will feature covers of songs by artists such as Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Ella Fitzgerald, Linda Eder, Pat Benatar, Linda Ronstadt, Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan and La India. The Briarwood Library is located at 85-12 Main Street and can be reached at 718-658-1680.

There will be a Celtic music concert with Bettina Covo at the Flushing Library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. New and original Celtic songs will be performed, along with “instrumentals intermingled with the words of some of the great Irish poets.” The Flushing Library is located at 41-17 Main Street. At 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, there will be a presentation entitled “History of the Irish-American Athletic Club of Celtic Park, Queens” at the Woodside Library. It will be conducted by Ian McGown, a local historian and resident of Celtic Park. The Woodside Library is located at 54-22 Skillman Avenue and can be reached at 718-429-4700.

“From the Beijing Olympics to the NBA: Discussion with Sports Radio Host Alex Peng” will be held at the Flushing Library at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

On Saturday, March 21, International Women’s Day Music & Dance Celebration will be held at the Flushing Library at 2 p.m. It will feature “female singers, musicians and dancers honoring the traditions of various regions of the world.”

“Overview of Jewish Culture & History – Part 2” will be held at the Flushing Library at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. It will be conducted by Rabbi Yonoson Hirtz.

At noon on Sunday, March 29, “A Celebration of the Iranian and Afghan Spring Festival” will be held at the Flushing Library. The day will include calligraphy, hand-drum lessons, poetry set to music, a fashion show and dance.

The Concertante String Octet will perform at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 in the LeFrak Concert Hall. The concert will feature music by Richard Strauss, Frank Bridge and Mendelssohn. Tickets are $36 or $34 for students, seniors, and Queens College alumni and staff.

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, The Incredible Acrobats of China will perform in the Colden Auditorium. It will feature artists from the New Shanghai Circus, including aerial entertainers, contortionists, jugglers and hoop divers. Tickets are $14.

The Jon Regen Trio will perform in the LeFrak Concert Hall at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. Regen is a pianist, vocalist and songwriter. Tickets are $22 or $20 for seniors, students and Queens College alumni and staff.

There will be a Philadelphia Virtuosi concert featuring pianist Gabriela Imreh at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22 in the LeFrak Concert Hall. The concerts are “provocative, poetic, and reflect the passions of music director and conductor Daniel Spalding and his collaborators.” Tickets are $36 or $34 for seniors, students and Queens College alumni and staff.

Irish Trinity Dance will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. Tickets are $42, $39 and $35.

On Saturday, March, 28 Chuck Negron, who was a founding member of Three Dog Night, will perform at 8 p.m. Some of the group’s hits include “Joy to the World,” “East to be Hard,” “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” “Old Fashioned Love Song,” “Try a Little Tenderness,” and “One.” Tickets are $42 or $39.
