MASPETH — Three people were killed last Thursday when the driver of a car lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a concrete barrier, police said.
Three men, two of whom were 27 and another who was 26, were pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital shortly before midnight last Thursday after being pulled from the wreckage of a 1993 Volvo.
Police said they responded to a call of an accident at the corner of 48th Street and Laurel Hill Road and determined the driver of the vehicle had lost control of the car and struck a concrete barrier at the location.
Police did not release the identities of the victims, but said the investigation was ongoing.
