Local officials and educators gathered on the campus of Queensborough Community College (QCC) recently, for a preview of the new Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center and Archives.

The 7,000 square foot center on the campus, at 222-05 56th Avenue in Bayside, will serve as an education and research center and will honor and remember victims of the Holocaust.

Shown here, QCC President Dr. Eduardo J. Marti (left) and Senator Frank Padavan share a moment inside the new center during the special preview event on Tuesday September 15.

Padavan secured major capital and operating funding for the center, which actually lies outside his district.
