Robbery turns fatal in Ozone Park

What began as a push-in robbery turned fatal on Wednesday night, September 9, after two suspects shot and killed a 29-year-old man.

The incident occurred in a home at 95th Street and North Conduit Avenue in Ozone Park. Police say two armed males allegedly approached the victim’s father, identified in reports as the owner of Romeo’s Pizza, from behind and struck him in the head.

The perpetrators then proceeded to push their way into the residence, cops said, where they assaulted the son, Gerardo Antoniello, who had just celebrated a birthday late last month. One round was fired, hitting Antoniello in the head. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, where he died early this morning.
