EAST ELMHURST — An East Elmhurst teen was arrested after allegedly killing a 21-year-old in East Elmhurst Friday, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Chris Oliva, 16, allegedly shot Rahmeek Johnson, 21, at close range a little before 11 p.m., according to the DA.
Johnson was declared dead at Elmhurst Hospital Friday night, the DA said.
Oliva allegedly tossed the gun he used as he ran away from police, the DA said. Police said they found the gun on the same block where the teen was apprehended, according to the DA.
Oliva has been charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence, the DA said.
