Arnel Portnoy says that on Saturday, October 17, two armed, masked men robbed her store, Tiny Tots, at 88-06 Sutter Avenue.
“They walked in with guns and said, ‘We’re going to blow your brains out if you don’t listen,’” said Portnoy.
The daytime robbery occurred with one employee and one customer in the store, said Portnoy, who told The Courier that the perps made the customer lie down and give up her bag.
Portnoy said that one suspect went behind the counter, while the other stayed by the door, and took about $1,000. They ransacked the area, she said, before fleeing. “It was all a matter of five minutes,”?she said.
This is not the first time her store has been targeted, noted Portnoy, who said that she does have security cameras but does not feel safe.
