Car owner’s mistake leads to stolen vehicle

The theft of the 2002 Nissan Maxima occurred between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday by Francis Lewis Boulevard and 34th Avenue in Bayside, police said.

Police said the car was stolen after the owner dropped his keys when he went to the gym.
