Drag racing death

A 24-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving, a black 2003 Nissan Maxima, crashed into a gate, spun out of control and hit a pole at 79th Street and the North Conduit.
According to witnesses, the man, identified by police as Geraud Gray, had been drag racing with two other cars on Monday, November 29. Reports claim the car had been traveling in excess of 90 miles per hour. Gray’s passenger, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Neighbors say that the area, from 130th Street, near the BP gas station, is rife with drag racers.
