Help The Queens Courier bring joy to sick youngsters

As you hit the malls on Black Friday and beyond or start your online shopping on Cyber Monday, consider getting an extra gift that will go a long way to making a sick child’s holiday a little more special.
For the second year in a row, The Queens Courier is partnering with the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York (formerly Schneider Children’s Hospital) to make the holiday season a little brighter for the kids who have to be in the hospital.
During the next few weeks, we will be collecting unwrapped gifts from you, our readers and our advertisers, at our office located at 38-15 Bell Boulevard in Bayside. The week before Christmas, we will gather all of the gifts and deliver all of them to the patients at Cohen’s Children Medical Center.
Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center offers the highest quality adolescent, pediatric and children’s health care services to screen, diagnose and treat a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. Its mission is to offer the best pediatric and children’s health care services in a safe, comfortable, and stress free environment for your child.
While the medical center serves children and adolescents of all ages, gifts for infants and newborns and teenagers are the most-needed this year. Check the more thorough list of gift ideas below.
You can bring NEW and UNWRAPPED gifts up to our office through Monday, December 13.
We know that economic times remain difficult for many borough residents, so any gifts you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference in these youngsters’ holiday season.
Those interested in bringing gifts can come to The Queens Courier office, which is located on the second floor at 38-15 Bell Boulevard in Bayside, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you have any questions, please call 718-224-5863, Ext. 221 ¬– ask for Santa Pete.
