Incumbents reign in Senate

STATE SENATE DISTRICT 10
?State Senator Shirley Huntley, who didn’t face any challenger, managed to get re-elected by default.
 
STATE SENATE DISTRICT 12
?Assemblymember Michael Gianaris won with more than 81 percent of the votes. Gianaris got 24,547 votes. His Republican opponent Jerome Patrick Tina received 5,689 votes.
 
STATE SENATE DISTRICT 13
?Incumbent State Senator Jose Peralta won with more than 82 percent of the votes. Peralta received 21,985 votes and Republican challenger Richard LaSalle got 4,625 votes.
 
STATE SENATE DISTRICT 14
? State Senator Malcolm Smith won with more than 77 percent of the votes. Smith received 24,626 votes and Republican candidate Samuel Benoit got 5,788 votes, while Conservative opponent Everly Brown got 1,427 votes.
 
STATE SENATE DISTRICT 16
? Incumbent State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky cruised to victory over Conservative opponent Robert Schwartz. Stavisky won with more than 87 percent of the votes. Stavisky had received 22,283 votes and Schwartz got 3,163 votes.
