Police on lookout for Chase bank robber

WOODSIDE — Police have asked the public to help in the search for a fugitive that robbed a Chase bank Monday.

The incident took place around 11 a.m. at the branch at 47-11 Queens Blvd., police said.

The robber entered the bank with a black and silver semiautomatic firearm in his waistband and gave a teller a note, according to investigators.

The teller complied and handed him some cash before he fled, police said.

Investigators describe the fugitive as white, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 180-200 pounds and wearing a light brown waist-length jacket and dark blue pants.
