A Bronx man was arrested and charged after he allegedly attacked a man in front of his own home.
The incident occurred on December 12 on 109th Street when Maithland O. Busey allegedly approached the victim and asked, “Why are you threatening my girlfriend?”
When the victim denied even knowing the woman, Busey allegedly punched him in the face and then pushed him to the ground, causing a split lip.
Busey then went to his car, took out a shovel and attacked the man again. When a woman intervened, Busey began hitting his victim with a wooden stick.
Busey fled, but was later apprehended with the shovel and the stick. He was charged with assault in the second and third degree, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
