Third annual St. Joseph Feast in Howard Beach

The Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation hosted its third annual St. Joseph Day celebration at Roma View in Howard Beach. It drew about 300 people on Wednesday, March 16.

Organized by Mario Faulisi, president of the Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation, his wife Grace, Angelo Gurino, treasurer, his wife Annemarie, and the members of the foundation, the event raised money for the Italian study program at St. Helen’s and for the restoration of the statues of St. Joseph and St. Anthony, which came from Our Lady of Loreto parish in East New York, Brooklyn and are currently at St. Helen’s in Howard Beach.

Faulisi and Gurino said that event was made possible through the continued support of the International Society of SS Cosma & Damiano, the Howard Beach Kiwanis Club, NYFAC, St. Helen’s, JDRF, the Italian American Museum, singers Sal Armeo, Anthony Piranio and Christopher Macchio, La Zagara and the musical stylings of Satisfaction Guaranteed and 2PLUS2 Entertainment.
