Let me give a high-five to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman for going after bogus nun, Merlindia LeGrand who was collecting funds in Little Italy for her fake church and charity for years.
It is about time the state is going after phony charities. I’m a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus and during these hard economic times it is increasingly difficult raising funds for those who are truely in need.
These phony charities give many of us a bad name who are really trying to help others.
