About 90 new members of the Country Club recently gathered for a welcoming breakfast in the VIP Room where they had a chance to mingle and learn more about what North Shore Towers has to offer.
“It’s really great to see so many new faces,” Country Club Committee Chair Phil Plafker said during the Saturday, May 14 event. “We just want you to enjoy the club and be active and part of the club.”
Board President Bob Ricken said that he was very happy the committee organized the event, which was opened to members who joined between January 2010 and the present. He also encouraged those in attendance to take advantage of their membership.
“You paid for mandatory dues; we want you to take advantage of it,” Ricken said. “We welcome you here. Enjoy North Shore Towers.”
Country Club Manager Mary Anne Langone said that she was “so excited to see everyone” and wants them to use the facilities. She added that she has an open door policy for concerns, suggestions and questions.
“I love suggestions,” she said. “Please come in. I want to know what you want done at this club; I want to know how to make it better for you.”
During the breakfast, members also had a chance to speak with representatives of different aspects of the Country Club, like golf, tennis, fitness and other interest groups.
