Mr. Mattone is an attorney and the Chief Financial Officer of Mattone Group, LLC, a real estate development, investment and management company headquartered in College Point, NY. The company’s portfolio includes a variety of real estate projects which include mixed-use, retail, office, multi-family and single-family home developments.
Mr. Mattone graduated from theUniversityofPennsylvaniawith a B.A. in Economics, and received a J.D. fromSt. John’sUniversitySchoolof Law where he was a member of the Law Review. Mr. Mattone is an attorney and is admitted to the Bars of New York andConnecticutand the Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. His professional affiliations include the Queens Catholic Lawyers Association, Queens County Bar Association, Columbian Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, Institute of Real Estate Management, American Bankruptcy Institute, The Retail Network, Board Member, and Young Mortgage Bankers Association. He also served on the Unsecured Creditor’s Committee in Bally’s Total Fitness Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case (2008-10).
Mr. Mattone began his legal career at the law firm of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle where he was an associate attorney in the real estate department. In 1993, he left Curtis-Mallet to join the family business, Mattone Group, LLC. In his capacity as CFO, he is responsible for financial planning for real estate acquisitions and development projects as well managing the long-term financial affairs for the company.
Mr. Mattone is a member of the board of several not-for profit organizations including: Jamaica Center Business Improvement District, The University of Pennsylvania Alumni Sports Board, St. John’s University School of Law Alumni Association, Queens County Boy Scouts Council, Holy Child Academy, and Queens Economic Development Corp.
He has been actively involved in numerous not-for-profit and charitable efforts including The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team-in-Training, Westbury Friends’ School, Flushing YMCA, and Legatus
Mr. Mattone is an avid triathlete and an Ironman Finisher. He is married and the proud father of four wonderful children. He resides in Old Westbury, NY.
