Police Investigate Homicide In Bushwick
Detectives are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man whose body was found inside his Bushwick home last Tuesday morning, Jan. 3, as an apparent homicide, police reported.
The victim was identified by law enforcement sources as Anthony Wilson of Bushwick Avenue.
Members of the 83rd Precinct were called to his home on Bushwick Avenue near Kosciuszko Street at around 10:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call.
Upon their arrival, police said, the officers discovered Wilson dead on his bed. According to NYPD sources, it is believed that he had been dead for about a week.
The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy; subsequent to the findings of the exam, law enforcement sources noted, coroners declared Wilson’s death to be a homicide.
No immediate arrests have been made, and the ongoing investigation is being conducted by the 83rd Precinct Detective Squad, police said.
