EDWARD L. ANGWIN of Harrington, Del., formerly of Glendale and Ridgewood, died on Thursday, March 1, at the age of 94. Angwin served his country proudly in the U.S. Army’s 29th Division during World War II and participated in the Invasion of Normandy. He was very patriotic and belonged to the American Legion CKRT Post #7 in Harrington.
Angwin was born and resided in Glendale and Ridgewood until he moved to Dover, Del., 30 years ago. For the past 11 years, he resided in Harrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Clara Angwin; his wife, EvelynAngwin; brothers Harry and Walter Angwin and grandson Christopher Lee Richardson. He is Edward, John, David, Jerome, Katherine and Bernadette Richardson, their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Bonnie Betts and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, March 5, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington, followed by interment at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, under the direction of Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Hwy., Harrington.
FLORENCE A. HERNAN of Ridgewood died on Thursday, March 1, at the age of 88. She was the beloved aunt of Kathy Castaldo, Diane Hernan, Linda Hearns, Debra Hernan, Karen Decker, Jimmy Hernan and John Hernan. She is also survived by 11 grand nieces and nephews.
