Family ‘home’-coming at Maspeth Bar

Relatives and friends of the late owner of The Gibbons Home pub in Maspeth celebrated the grand re-opening of the establishment with a party last Saturday night, Feb. 25. As noted, family members worked together to reopen the bar following the death of George Gibbons Jr., who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Maspeth last November. The celebration featured live music and other festivities all weekend long. Pictured above are patrons, staff and close relatives of the late George Gibbons Jr., including his father, George Gibbons Sr.; his brother, Eamon Gibbons; and sisters Bernadette, Maureen and Siobhan Gibbons.
