Man robbed boro bank in Maspeth: Police

MASPETH — The NYPD was seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a Maspeth bank robbery.

On April 18 around 5:45 p.m., the suspect walked into the Maspeth Federal Savings Bank, at 56-18 69th St., and allegedly walked up to a teller, passing a note stating he had a bomb, police said.

The teller complied with his demand and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, which he allegedly stuffed into a Modell’s bag before fleeing southbound on 69th Street toward Flushing Avenue, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 18 and 20 and weighing between 140 and 170 pounds, cops said.

He was wearing sunglasses, a black baseball hat, a white collared button-down shirt, a dark zippered jacket and one white and black batting glove on his right hand, police said.
