JOHN J. RYAN of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, Pa. died on Sunday morning, June 3, at his home. His wife of 41 years is the former SueAnn Senz. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late James f. and Mary Davern Ryan and a member of the St. Thomas More/St. Mary Parish Community. Prior to retirement, he had been employed for many years at Allied Stores Corp. and C.T.S. Logistics U.S.A. as an international transportation specialist and manager.

He was a member of the National Maritime Commission and a member of the W.L.E. Golf Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Ryan is survived by his sister, Patricia McNamara, and her husband, John of Texas, as well as nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother James F. Ryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 8, at St. Mary’s Church, 305 St. Mary’s Church Rd., Ledgedale, Pa., followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale, under the direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel, Pa.

DOROTHY RUEHLE died on tuesday, May 29, at the age of 93. A former resident of Ridgewood, she was the wife of the late Charles and loving mother of Carol, Thomas, Helen Santo and Robert. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services were offered on Friday, June 1, at O.B. MANUEL A. HUALLANCA died on Tuesday, May 29, at the age of 59. He was the beloved son of Antonio, loving father of Danny, Gabriel, Jean Michael and Ariel Montalvo, cherished grandfather of Justin and Cristiano and dear brother of Maria Del Rosario. ROSALIA COSPITO died on Wednesday, May 30, at the age of 99. She was the wife of the late Jimmy Cospito, loving mother of Maria Cospito and Rosalie Cospito and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, June 2, at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ETHEL MACCHIO died on Saturday, May 26, at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late Michael Macchio, loving mother of Michael Macchio, Rosann B. Macchio and Theresa Scarola, cherished grandmother of Anthony, Michael, Stacy and Michael and great-grandmother of Ellie and Amelia. MADELINE A. JERZYNSKI died on Tuesday, May 29, at the age of 70. She was the beloved sister of Florence Mirro and cherished aunt of Larry and Terry, Michael, Joe and Kathy and Mary and Robert. JADWIGA CIESLA died on Wednesday, May 30, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Henryk, loving mother of Krystyna and Piotr Szereszowiec, Andrew Ciesla and Mark and Patricia Ciesla and cherished grandmother of Justin, Olivia and Ryan. MARGARETE ROTH of Ridgewood died on Saturday, June 2, at the age of 98. A native of Feketitsch, Yugoslavia, she was the wife of the late John, devoted mother of Erna Mayer and loving grandmother of James Mayer and Frank Mayer. MERCEDES MORENO of Brooklyn died on Wednesday, May 30, at the age of 79. A native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the devoted mother of Jose Quintana, Maria Lugo, Betsy Quintana and Jaclyn Quintana and daughter of Benito Moreno and Antonia Rosario. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. CECILIA M. LEWANDOWSKI of Ridgewood died on Wednesday, May 30, at the age of 81. A native of Ridgewood, she was the wife of the late Stephen C., devoted mother of Stephen J. and Jane Lewandowski, Laura and Jason Lucero, Elaine and the late Thomas Lamb and James Catterson and Barbara Maier, dear sister of Florence Palmiter and loving grandmother of Lauren, Marc, Kristen and Stephanie.
