The Middle Village Kiwanis raised hundreds of dollars to help save babies around the world from tetanus.
The Kiwanis raised $580 for the cause with Maspeth Federal Saving Bank donating $500.
The donations go toward the International Kiwanis Project Eliminate which saves thousands of babies around the world from the effects of tetanus.
Just a $2 can save a baby from tetanus.
“We are very proud to have saved 290 babies,” said JP Di Troia, the Eliminate Project Ambassador for the Queens West Kiwanis.
