QUEENS VILLAGE — A 58-year-old man is dead and a woman charged with assault after police responded Monday to a 911 call at the residence where they both reside.
Just after 6:30 p.m., police responded to a call of an emotionally disturbed female inside 89-01 215th St., according to the NYPD.
Inside, officers found the man, Harish Somaya, with bruises and abrasions on his face, police said.
Emergency crews took Somaya to Queens Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Cops arrested 38-year-old Jessica Somaya and charged her with assault, police said.
