Robber hit Subway and Howard Johnson: Cops (WITH VIDEO)

SOUTH JAMAICA — Police released images of a suspect wanted in connection with two commercial robberies along Rockaway Boulevard.

On July 9 at about 10:15 p.m., the suspect entered a Howard Johnson hotel, located at 153-95 Rockaway Blvd. in South Jamaica, police said. The man displayed a firearm and demanded cash, according to the NYPD.

The suspect then went behind the front counter and grabbed the loot before fleeing, police said.

The next day at around 11:45 p.m., the same suspect entered a Subway restaurant, located at 252-18 Rockaway Blvd. Rosedale, and again flashed a gun before demanding money, grabbing it from behind a counter and fleeing, the NYPD said.

The suspect is described as being a black man, between 27 and 30 years old, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds.

There were no injuries sustained as a result of the incidents, police said.
