Forest Hills Library Closed Two Days to Install Self-serve Kiosk

Forest Hills residents will be without their neighborhood library for two days later this month as a new 24-hour material return kiosk is installed at the branch, the Queens Borough Public Library announced.

The scheduled work will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 27 and 28, requiring the branch’s full closure on both days. During that time, crews will install the kiosk, which will allow anyone who borrows a book, periodical, CD or DVD from the branch to return it at any time of the day.

While the branch is closed, Forest Hills residents can visit any other Queens Library branch, including locations in Rego Park (91-41 63rd Dr.), North Forest Park (98-27 Metropolitan Ave., Forest Hills), Briarwood (85-12 Main St.) and Kew Gardens Hills (72-33 Vleigh Pl.).
