Glove Helps Cops Locate Suspected R’wood Burglar

Already Locked Up For Bk. Break-In

Still in jail after being cuffed last June for a burglary in Brooklyn, a Manhattan man was cuffed by detectives last Wednesday, Sept. 19, for reportedly breaking into a home in Ridgewood a month before his arrest.

Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as Donneer Legree, 33, of West 145th Street, who was booked for the May 17 break-in of an apartment on Catalpa Avenue.

According to information provided by the Queens District Attorney’s office, Legree was linked to the caper through genetic evidence found on a latex glove left at the scene of the crime.

Police said the burglary took place sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on May 17 in a thirdfloor residence on Catalpa Avenue between Forest Avenue and 60th Street.

Reportedly, a female resident who had been out earlier that morning re-
