Empire Gate Medical introduced its second medical clinic — and first in the borough of Queens — with a ribbon cutting ceremony August 25 on Parsons Boulevard in Jamaica.
Empire Gate Medical, which recently opened its first location in Manhattan, provides primary care for patients of all ages, who are covered by any of the 19 insurance companies the clinic accepts. The office provides onsite X-rays, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, Holter monitors, lab work and stress testing, though they do not provide services for prenatal women.
Permanent Empire Gate Medical family physician Dr. Greogry Suprin, along with two other physicians at the Jamaica location, usually take about 15-20 appointments a day, they said, but do not limit themselves to a specific number of patients.
“We don’t refuse anyone,” Suprin said. “The grand opening was a great way to spread awareness about the clinic.”
The event was attended by about 500 people, consisting of community leaders and a few local politicians who welcomed the new clinic, while they enjoyed the free food, raffles and entertainment.
“Jamaica is very warm to us. They took us right in,” said Suprin.
