Teenage Interns Are Celebrated In Forest Hills

The Bukharian Teen Lounge operated by the Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) in Forest Hills recently held a celebration for interns at their after-school program for immigrant youths. As noted, 24 immigrant teenagers were placed in paid summer internships at various offices throughout the city. During the ceremony, the participants and their supervisors spoke about their experiences. Joining them at the event were City Council Member Karen Koslowitz, State Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky, Assemblyman Michael Simanowitz and Roman Paprocki, chief-of-staff to Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi.
