Teen Girl Is Groped at Footbridge In Elmhurst

Perverted Perpetrator Remains At Large

While walking to school, a teenage girl reportedly fought off a man who molested her on a footbridge in Elmhurst last Wednesday, Oct. 3, according to police.

Authorities said the incident took place at around 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday on the pedestrian bridge located near the corner of 85th Street and 55th Avenue.

Reportedly, the female victim was walking across the span when she was approached by the perpetrator, described as a Hispanic male. Police said the suspect then grabbed her by the chest.

After the girl fought the attacker and screamed, law enforcement sources noted, the suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction. The victim later returned home and reported the incident to the 110th Precinct.

No arrests have been made in the case as of press time, and the investicar gation by the 110th Precinct Detective Squad is ongoing, police stated.
