Jason Bohn, the 33-year-old Astoria man allegedly responsible for the murder of his live-in girlfriend Danielle Thomas, was indicted on charges of first-degree murder.
Thomas, a 27-year-old Weight Watchers executive, was found dead inside the couple’s 33rd Street apartment last month, beaten, strangled and left in a bathtub filled with ice. Her death followed several documented incidents of harassment by Bohn. Thomas had also obtained a restraining order against him in June.
Bohn faces a ten-count indictment – one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree murder, one count of first-degree strangulation, one count of aggravated criminal contempt, one count of tampering with physical evidence, one count of first-degree criminal contempt, one count of third-degree assault and three counts of second-degree aggravated harassment.
If convicted, Bohn could serve up to life in prison without the possibility of parole. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 23.
