Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, the head of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, visited St. Margaret Church in Middle Village last Saturday, Jan. 26 for a Mass and the dedication of a new statue honoring the Virgin Mary on the church’s exterior. As noted, the statue was donated by local businessman Mike Repole through his charity organization Nonna’s Garden. The courtyard where the statue is located is also slated to be renovated by the church. Bishop DiMarzio is shown greeting Assunta Guarnaccia, Repole’s grandmother.
