JOSEPH PELLEGRINI of New
Hyde Park died on Thursday, February 14, at the age of 90. A native of
Trentino, Italy, he was the beloved
husband of Jean and devoted father
of Peter Pellegrini, Vincent Pellegrini
and Francine Pellegrini. He is also
survived by seven grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren and was the
owner of Pellegrini’s Caterers. A
Mass of Christian Burial was offered
at Notre Dame Roman Catholic
Church, followed by entombment at
Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, L.I.,
under the direction of Park Funeral
Chapels, 2175 Jericho Tpke., Garden
City Park.

JOSEPH BURGIO died on Saturday, February 16, at the age of 84. He
was the beloved uncle of Lorraine,
Joe, Rosalie, Joseph, Vicky, Frank,
Angela and Debbie. He was also a
U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. A Mass of
Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, February 19, at Our Lady of
Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond
Crematory, Middle Village, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

CARL BATTISTA died on Friday,
February 15, at the age of 93. He was
the husband of the late Angline
(Lulu) Batista, loving father of
Daniel N. Battista, Patricia Tracy and
Carl Battista, cherished grandfather
of Carl, Danielle, Nicole Casserly,
Brian Tracy, Lauren and Michael and
great-grandfather of Robby. He was
a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday,
February 19, at St. Nicholas Church,
East Williamsburg, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle
Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand

on Sunday, February 17, at the age of
56. A native of Brooklyn, she was the
devoted mother of Destiny Connors-
Lemos, Christian Hrubes, Danielle
Hrubes, Gabrielle Barroso, John
Hrubes and Padraic Hubres, loving
daughter of Rose Connors and dear
sister of Mark Connors, John Connors, Richard Connors, Camille
Luizza and the late Kerry Connors.
