Burglar Hits Hair Salon In Rego Park

The man pictured in this surveillance camera photo is wanted by police for allegedly breaking into a Rego Park beauty salon last month. Authorities said the perpetrator-described as a white male between 35 and 40 years of age, standing at 5’8″-tall and weighing between 160 and 170 lbs.-used a hammer to shatter the front glass doors of the Olga Salon at 91-02 63rd Dr. at 3:23 a.m. on Feb. 7. Once inside the location, law enforcement sources noted, the crook took cash from the register and a portable radio. The burglary was later reported to the 112th Precinct. As shown, the suspect was last seen wearing a darkcolored jacket.
