JOSEPH A. DASARO of Ridgewood died on Wednesday, March 13,
at the age of 64. A native of Brooklyn, he lived in Ridgewood since the
mid-1970s. Joe was the dear brother
of Benedict Dasaro and Nancy Pappas. He attended P.S. 53, J.H.S. 162,
Bushwick High School, NYCCC,
Baruch College and Pace University.
He was also a member of the Licensed Ushers and Ticket Takers
Union Local 176 and worked at
Madison Square Garden, the U.S.
Open Tennis Tournament, Shea Stadium and Citi Field. He was also a
member of the Holy Name Society at
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
Church and served as an usher for
Sunday Masses. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered at Our Lady of the
Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St.
John Cemetery, Middle Village,
under the direction of Morton
Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels,
663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.
Mr. Dasaro was buried Monday with
his parents, grandparents & greatgrandparents in St. Johns Cemetary.

JOSEPH BILELLO, originally of
Ridgewood, died on Thursday,
March 14, at the age of 85. He was
born on September 19, 1927 in
Brooklyn to Vincenzo and Angelina
Bilello. He served in the U.S. Navy
from 1945 to 1949. On April 21,
1951, he married the love of his life,
Nettie. Together, they had four children: Angela, Vincent, Annette and
Anthony. They also would have two
children-in-law, Tom and Joyce.
Joseph was the proud grandfather of
10 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. He worked for Trunz
Butchers for 19 years and later owed
his own deli, Manhattan Foods, for
10 years. Later he worked for the
City of New York, where he taught
defensive driving until he retired in
June 1995. He was preceded in death
by his wife Nettie and grandson
Michael. Funeral arrangements were
under the direction of Walsh, LaBella
and Son Funeral Home, 70-17
CooperAve., Glendale, where a wake
will be held on Sunday and Monday,
March 24-25, from 2 to 5 p.m. and
from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be offered on Tuesday,
March 26, at 10:15 a.m. at St.
Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.

SIEGFRIED LAEMMEL of Glendale died on Sunday, March 17, at the
age of 84. A native of New York City,
he was the husband of the late Elizabeth Renar, devoted father of Robert
Laemmel and Debra Tanico and dear
broher of Helen Prill. He is also survived by four grandchildren. He as a
member of the Masons and the Eastern Star. A private cremation was
held at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village. There will be a memorial
visitation and service on Friday, April
5, from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9
p.m. at George Werst Funeral Home,

of cremated remains will take place
on Saturday, April 6, at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, L.I.

JOHN T. ZUKAS died on Thursday,
March 14. He was the beloved husband of Gloria Zukas, loving father
of Jessica Lang and John Zukas, father in-law of Brian and dear brother
of Barbara Bové. He was a U.S. Air
Force veteran who served during the
