A pedestrian is in serious condition following a hit-and-run accident in Jackson Heights Monday night, said police.
The 48-year-old man was struck at the intersection of 81st Street and 35th Avenue around 8 p.m.
Witnesses told police he was crossing against the light when the vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical but stable condition.
