Due to rising costs, the Times Newsweekly /Ridgewood Times will be increasing its newsstand price by a dime beginning next week, Thursday, Apr. 4.
The price for a copy of the Times Newsweekly/Ridgewood Times will rise from 40 to 50 cents.
Management explained that the reason for the increase is the result of many factors involving the day-to-day operation of the newspaper, including (but not limited to) higher costs of printing and distribution.
The last time the Times Newsweekly/Ridgewood Times increased its newsstand price was in 1995. By comparison, most daily newspapers have increased their prices several times in the last 18 years.
According to management, the newsstand price increase- while regrettable-will help ensure that the Times Newsweekly/Ridgewood Times continues to provide highquality local news coverage for its readers.
The annual subscription cost for the Times Newsweekly/ Ridgewood Times-$25 per year-remains unchanged for the time being.
