Marine Sergeant Retires

Master Gunnery Sgt. Marc A. Kovacich recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 22 years of service. He received four certificates from his commandant officers and personal awards, including the Navy Commendation Medal with one star and the Navy Achievement Medal. He also received a certificate of appreciation and a meritorious medal for his service from President Barack Obama. He is married to Nancy and is the father of Jacob. He is the son of Barbara and the late Edward Kovacich of Brooklyn.
