If people say they support civil unions and equal rights for gays but feel that the “sacrament” of marriage should be between a man and a woman, then by excluding gays from marriage they show that they are not for equal rights for gays.
Why? Religion. Islam? Judaism? Catholicism? The fastest-growing “religion” in America is “none of the above”: 46 million people are atheists — 20 percent of America, up 5 percent in just the last five years.
Atheists like Christmas, too! We even yell “Oh, God” during sex.
Faith means the purposeful suspension of critical thinking.
It is nothing to be admired.
