Repping ‘old Glory’ at Woodhaven Parochial School

Rep. Nydia Velázquez recently dropped by St. Thomas The Apostle School in Woodhaven to present the school with a flag flown over the capital just for them. American Legion Auxiliary Department of New York 10th District President Mary Farley requested that the flag be flown and given to the school. In Photo 1, students join, Principal Joe Carpenter, seventh-grade teacher Maria Sande and Rep. Nydia Velázquez during the ceremony. The second photo shows Farley, Carpenter and Velázquez along with pastor Frank Tumino.
