Gun-Toting Crooks Attack Pizza Deliveryman

Two armed gunmen ambushed a pizza deliveryman in front of a Forest Hills building during a holdup early last Friday morning, May 9, police reported.

Law enforcement sources said the robbery occurred at about 1 a.m. in the vicinity of 62nd Drive and 110th Street.

Reportedly, the 51-year-old male victim was making a delivery to a nearby building when he was approached by two suspects described as Hispanic males, both of whom displayed firearms.

One of the perpetrators-who, according to authorities, stood 6′- tall-demanded property, while his accomplice-said to stand 5’11”- tall-pushed the victim to the ground.

After the victim hit the ground, police noted, the second suspect removed $50 in cash from the deliveryman’s left pocket. The two crooks reportedly fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Members of the 112th Precinct responded to the incident. The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, law enforcement sources stated.

Various police units canvassed the surrounding area for the suspects, but no immediate arrests were made, sources stated.

The 112th Precinct Detective Squad’s investigation is ongoing, police said.
