St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children announced this week it was awarded a $20,000 grant from the General Mills Foundation that will go toward funding its farm-to-table and fitness programs.
The Bayside facility said the money will provide support for the two programs that promote healthy eating and physical activity among children.
St. Mary’s is one of 50 winners across the nation that will receive the grant as part of more than $5 million in funding that has been distributed since General Mills launched its Champions for Healthy Kids program in 2002.
