Harrison At Helm Of F.H. Command

The 112th Precinct received new leadership last week.

Capt. Judith Harrison (at left) took command of the 112th Precinct last week, replacing Capt. Thomas Conforti (at right), who was reassigned to the 109th Precinct.

Capt. Judith Harrison took the reins at the precinct covering Forest Hills and Rego Park, replacing Capt. Thomas Conforti, who now commands the 109th Precinct based in Flushing. Conforti had been the 112th Precinct’s top cop since September 2012.

According to the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau, Harrison joined the NYPD in April 1997, with her first assignment at the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica. She also had stints at the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood; the 109th Precinct and the 115th Precinct based in Jackson Heights.

Harrison additionally served with the NYPD Police Academy, Patrol Borough Queens North and the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau.

She quickly rose through the ranks in the years since and was promoted to sergeant in September 2002, lieutenant in 2006 and captain in 2013.

Harrison previously graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

On the 112th Precinct Community Council’s Facebook page, its president, Heidi Harrison Chain, thanked Conforti for his service and wished Captain Harrison well in her tenure at the precinct.
