At least one person was taken to the hospital following a car accident on Francis Lewis Boulevard near 37th Avenue, a spokeswoman for the Fire Department said.
Emergency responders were called just after 5 p.m. to the intersection, where the front passenger side of a sedan was partially wrapped around a pole.
Members of the Bravest were seen helping a young man and woman on stretchers at the accident scene and one injured person was taken to New York Hospital Queens to be treated, fire officials said. No information was immediately available about the condition of those hurt, the FDNY spokeswoman said.
