Looking to put happy faces on audiences, the Jubilee Cluster Players will raise the curtain this weekend on their production of the hit Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie. The 1960s-based comedy-written by Michael Stewart, with lyrics by Lee Adams, and music by Charles Strouse-is directed by Barbara Auriemma, with music provided by Frank Auriemma and choreography by Christine Hinz. As shown, the cast includes Taylor Abbruzzese, Maliha Alam, Austin Auriemma, Alicia Brosky, Lauren Cassidy, Daniella DiSanti, Alison Goldman, Charles Hinz, Christine Hinz, Sharleen Hsu, Lyd Ia, Victor Jaquez, Jacob Lobosco, Julia Marshall, Richard Miller, Megan Nystrom, Dennis Popp, Melanie Pozarycki, Will Rodriguez, Geri Schwartz, Kevin Singh, Jillian Smith and Mark York. Performances will take place this Friday and Saturday night, Aug. 8 and 9, at 8 p.m. at Glendale/Maspeth United Methodist Church, located at 66-14 Central Ave. in Glendale; and Sunday, Aug. 10, Saturday, Aug. 16 and Sunday, Aug. 17 at Community United Methodist Church, located at 75- 27 Metropolitan Ave. in Middle Village (Sunday shows are 3 p.m.; the Aug. 16 performance is 8 p.m.).
