Cops Seek Cell Phone Snatcher
The NYPD continues to search for a man who accosted a female jogger inside Forest Park last Tuesday night, Sept. 16, and swiped her headphones, it was reported.
Law enforcement sources said the incident occurred at 6 p.m. at an unspecified location in the park near Woodhaven.
According to police, the suspect-described as a white male between 40 and 45 years old, standing 5’8″-tall with a medium build-grabbed a 28- year-old woman while she ran past him.
Reportedly, the victim resisted, but the perpetrator was able to grab her headphones, then fled in an unknown direction.
Members of the 102nd Precinct responded to the incident. The jogger was not seriously injured.
Authorities said the crook was last observed wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and baggy blue jeans.
The investigation is ongoing.
